Your generosity is essential to Learn United. Every gift is valued as a significant investment in the future of our children.
Donations to United Way’s Learn United Fund go directly toward the community-wide effort to improve the reading skills of children in Allen County. Money will be used to purchase books and classroom materials and will also fund volunteer training as well as support, background checks and parent education.
You can also give to United Way of Allen County's Community Fund. Donations to this fund are used to support Learn United as well as more than 65 programs that improve success in school, promote family stability and meet basic needs. These investments are critical to building a stronger community and to closing the third grade reading achievement gap.
Real Men Read volunteers are matched with a third grade classroom and serve as positive male role models who value education and reading. $150 sponsors a class and just $2 sponsors a book. The books purchased with your donation are given as personal gifts to the students. This may be the first book that child has ever owned.
